Sugar, Spice, and Everything Rice
The premier San Francisco Bay Area Asian & Pacific Islander Drag troupe
First debuting in the summer of 2009 and taking the world by storm (and surprise), the Rice Rockettes have been the San Francisco Bay Area's premier Asian and Pacific Islander Drag Troupe.
Since our inception, we've worked to champion a fun and safe space for A&PI people to empower and express themselves through the art of drag and performance.
As a group that started through community, we've supported numerous fund-raising events and organizations such as the SF Ducal Court, Kearny Street Workshop, UC Berkeley's Cal Queer & Asian, Transgender Law Center, AIDS Housing Alliance, the GLBT Historical Society, and the Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center. The Rice Rockettes have also been seen at numerous Gay Asian Pacific Alliance functions including Banquet, Runway and GAYmazing Race. In 2011, we even graced prime-time national TV (for the 2nd time), with our brief trial on America's Got Talent.
We currently have a home at the Lookout Bar, where we host a monthly show every 2nd Thursdays.
